TV -11, the home station for de Castro Productions received in 1999 alone 12 (Twelve) nominations from "Prensa Uni" the curacao Press Association that include:
1. Best image
2. Best Investigative media
3. Best Government Business info
4. Best Media that promotes positvism.
5. Bvest Intervieuw.
6. Best Anouncer.
7. Best Sound
8. Four Producers on TV-11 for Best Talkshow
9. Best Stimulation for a better community.
10. . Best Television Talkshow on the air
TV-11 was awarded in that same year the "Pluma di Oro" "Golden feather" award by the Association for Best Image.
The Producer of "Dialogo" and "Kontakto" TV-Programs, Chacho de Castro was awarded a "Pluma di Oro" in 1999 for "Best Talk-show on TV".
This being the second consecutive year that the Association awarded the producer the prize of "Best TV Program on the air for "Kontakto" in 1998. The prize was a conmemorative plaque.
Chacho, has received varios awards for his work including one from Telecuracao, the "Dividivi" award for best produced program of the year (1984).
The producer was "Man of the year" for the best produced program of the year ( 1994) by the newspaper columnist Mr. Ricardo Isebia of the newspaper "Nobo". Mr Isebia an ex- commissioner of the Government of Curaçao is today the Editor in Chief of "Nobo".
Chacho de Castro was also nominated in 1999 by
" Prensa Uni" for "Best investigative program", "Best interview", and "Best Announcer".
